CS2 Trade-Up Calculator
Pick your inputs, type the float of every copy you own or find, and see each possible outcome with its odds, output float, wear, and value after fees. Contracts opened from the finder arrive filled in.
How the Trade-Up Calculator works
The CS2Cap Trade-Up Calculator applies the rules Counter-Strike 2 uses since the October 2025 update: each input carries an equal share of the odds toward its own collection, and floats are normalized within each skin's range before they are averaged. Souvenir skins count at their printed rarity; five Coverts from one case produce a knife or gloves.
Prices come from the same hourly snapshot as the trade-up finder: live cross-marketplace prices, fee-adjusted on the way out. Every price can be overwritten with what you actually paid, and a contract opened from the finder keeps the finder's price until you reset it.
Frequently asked questions
How do I use a CS2 trade up calculator?+
Add ten skins of one rarity (or five Coverts from the same case), then read the outcome list: each result shows its probability, the float and wear it would receive, and its value after fees compared with the contract's cost.
How are trade up odds calculated in 2026?+
Each input gives its collection an equal share of the odds, split evenly across that collection's next-rarity skins. Seven inputs from one collection and three from another give 70% and 30% to the two outcome pools.
How is the output float calculated?+
Each input's float is normalized within its own skin's float range, the ten normalized values are averaged, and that average is mapped into each outcome's range. Low-float inputs from wide-range skins pull outcomes toward Factory New.
What does 'don't buy above' mean?+
For every copy you have not bought yet, the calculator finds the highest float at which the contract still has an expected value at or above its cost, assuming the remaining copies share that float. Buying at or under it keeps the contract profitable at current prices.
Can I use items from my Steam inventory?+
Yes. Sign in, link Steam, and switch the picker to My inventory: each item comes in with its real float. Items hidden by Steam's trade protection are not visible yet.
Is the trade up calculator free?+
Yes. No account is needed to build, price and share contracts; the inventory view needs a signed-in account with Steam linked.
